Port of Spain, Trinidad, January 13, 2023 – The CFATF Risk Trends and Methods Group (CRTMG) meeting was held in the margins of the CFATF’s 55th Plenary and Working Group Meetings held in the Cayman Islands (November 27th – December 1st, 2022).

This was the inaugural bestowing of such an award, by the CFATF, to a member jurisdiction that achieved success in demonstrating some of the characteristics of an effective AML/CFT system, as reflected by the winning case. The initiation of this award is intended to encourage CFATF members to showcase the successful operational efforts of their competent authorities through the contribution of cases to the CRTMG’s annual ML/TF typologies update. The twenty-four-member organisation used a voting procedure to decide which member jurisdiction presented the best case.
